Positano, Italy
This little town has basically become a right of passage for Instagramers! We got to visit Positano in April of 2019 for Matthew’s birthday and honestly, this is one place that DEFINITELY lives up to the hype! It’s everything you could want from an Italian coastal town! Spend your days eating and drinking all up and down the beautiful coast! While we didn’t get to when we were there, we would highly recommend doing a day trip to the Island of Capri which you can either do by ferry or rent a boat with a private skipper to take you for the day! Our one regret is not leaving time to go see Capri!
After spending a few days in Rome, we rented a car from the Rome Termini station for about $40/day using auto europa and made the 3 1/2 - 4ish hour drive down the coast, which was BEAUTIFUL. Of course, there are cheaper ways to get there, via train or shuttle, but we enjoy the freedom of having our own vehicle. The biggest drawback was just the cost of parking, you can find parking in the town for about $5/hour, and overnight/daily parking was about $30 USD.
We would 100% do this trip again and if you’re planning on it, MAKE SURE you get a reservation at Trattoria la Tagliata…the highlight of our entire experience! Check it out in the video below!
